The $349 Pixel 4A is such a good phone for the money, but in that respect's one thing that's bugged Pine Tree State from the first: my new phone is truly, really bad at calculation out when its screen should be bright and when information technology needs to be dip. I'm constantly fidgeting with the brightness level slider just to ascertain the screen properly when I move from dark to light environments, even though I keep off auto-smartness turned on.

Simply Google has only issued an October security patch for Android 11 on the Pel 4A, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 3A and 3A XL, Pixel 3 and 3XL, and even a penultimate update for the 2 and 2 Twoscore — like the original Pixel, Google confirms the 2 and 2 XL are one more update than secure — and unrivalled of these fixes looks like information technology could be the auto-smartness update I've been waiting for.

I can't sooner or later confirm whether "improvements to auto-brightness response in certain lighting conditions" is actually a fix, partly because information technology's still installing on my phone American Samoa I type these row and partly because it's real tight to testify a negative.
